Great Art

Whilst in Austria I popped into the village church in Scheffau, in the Tyrol. Leaving aside the religious aspects for one moment, for my non-Christian friends, I'd like you to see the great artwork in church of such a small village (population 1400).

Organ Loft

Outside was a small cemetery with the strangest of paintings which seemed vaguely Pagan.

All this in a village church!

  1. What a beautiful church! And so light inside and out.

  2. Lovely church! And beautiful scenery on your holiday. Just popped in to say hello and see what you've been up to. These charming chapels are always of interest architecturally as well as decor. Love the Pagan painting, soft, fresh and lovingly beautiful.
