A NEW BLOG

I'm spending a bit of time organising my work for display. I'm dividing my stuff into two Gallery Blogs, one will be for Painting and the other I have started for Pen & Ink work (half-finished - 11 pictures at the moment)

I've got some of my very first drawings in there, for example, Monschau, which is a small town in the Eifel Mountains in Northern Germany. We spent a lot of time there 1979 - 83.

This early drawing was made in 1980.

    It is AWESOME!!! Blows me away how you can do such detail and do it perfectly. The blog will have enormous appeal.
    BUT...I am very happy you will still maintain your painting blog, John, because that is where my heart lays.

    You are so productive so I am not at all surprised at your need for an additional blog site. I will be a frequent visitor at both places I am sure! Your pen and ink drawings are simple masterful and your paintings a joy to see!

    Good morning, John,

    Well, it's morning here ... I appreciate your note on that background. It is the second attempt. Those smooth washes are the devil! And I am keeping warm. Showers so hot that they almost feel cold they're so hot do help :) Our cold "snap" here has broken - I actually had a short ride with Bruno yesterday. It was GLORIOUS!!! How are you doing?

    Thank you for visiting my blog ... again. I like those toadstools, too - glad I went back to them and pumped them up. Right now, it is snowing and blowing again - looks like the highway scene from the movie "Fargo" BRRRRR!!!!!
