Max - Writ LARGE!

I'm still over-the-moon that I painted such a large portrait 'accurately.' Here's a photo with a chair close by which gives you some perspective of the scale

  5. I missed your last post but I just scrolled down to have a look. Great job John!! He is going to be made up when he sees it! And you are right, seeing it like this gives a sense of its size. I like working large too... only I think after the on I'm doing right now, the next one will have to be looser or I'll go crazy with all the detail!

    1. Thanks, Sandra; he's got the perfect colouring and looks for portraiture. I thrive on detail, but I know what you mean: a change is as good as a rest.
